What is an Electric Fence?

Do I need to get approval from Authority to install Electric Fence?
Yes, You can get approval from the Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia(Malaysian Energy Commission).
The owner of the premises is required to register and submit an application to Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
The owner of the premises may appoint a contractor to assist the application.
The Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Malaysian Energy Commission) will review applications through system specifications and installation procedures in accordance with the guidelines.
Officer will issue approval letter for installation and approval letter for operation upon approval of site inspection test report.
The owner should refer to the Local Authority Council for any renovation of the building which is contrary to the specifications of the local authority council.
Is it safe for children or pets?
Yes. The electric fence emits a high-voltage but low-current pulse, which is painful but non-lethal. Proper signage and fencing height help ensure safety.
Does it work during a blackout?
Yes. Our energizers come with battery backup systems to keep your fence active even during power outages.
Can it be installed on existing walls or fences?
Absolutely. Electric fences can be mounted on top of perimeter walls, metal fencing, or gates with custom bracket systems.
Is a license required to install an electric fence in Malaysia?
Yes. Installation must be done by a Suruhanjaya Tenaga-licensed contractor, which we are.
Will it affect other electrical devices?
No. A properly installed system will not interfere with household electrical appliances or nearby electronics.
Will the electric fence trigger alarms?
Yes. When the fence is cut, shorted, or tampered with, the system will trigger an alarm and alert the user.
Can I control the electric fence remotely?
Yes. We have developed our own cloud system that allows remote monitoring, on/off control, and real-time alerts.
Does the electric fence work in rain?
Yes. Electric fences are designed to operate in all weather conditions, including heavy rain. Proper earthing ensures consistent performance.
How high does the fence need to be?
According to Suruhanjaya Tenaga guidelines, the total barrier height (wall + fence) should typically meet minimum safety requirements (e.g. 1.5m and above) to prevent accidental contact.
