What is an Electric Fence?

Do I need to get approval from Authority to install Electric Fence?
Yes, You can get approval from the Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia(Malaysian Energy Commission).
The owner of the premises is required to register and submit an application to Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
The owner of the premises may appoint a contractor to assist the application.
The Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Malaysian Energy Commission) will review applications through system specifications and installation procedures in accordance with the guidelines.
Officer will issue approval letter for installation and approval letter for operation upon approval of site inspection test report.
The owner should refer to the Local Authority Council for any renovation of the building which is contrary to the specifications of the local authority council.
Is it safe for children or pets?
Yes. The electric fence emits a high-voltage but low-current pulse, which is painful but non-lethal. Proper signage and fencing height help ensure safety.
Does it work during a blackout?
